This delayed post is going to be done yearly in ideally the first week of the year (and updated every now and again) then completed at the end of the year. The progress of it can be tracked on my README.md

Artificial Intelligence.

  • I think AI even in it’s current form is probably one of the most important things to exist, studies have shown it can perform about as well as a regular therapist at CBT, (this requires uncensored models) that means as of right now, CBT is accessible to everyone with enough compute to run a 7b model and the technical know how - this will become better with time.

Effective Altruism

  • I’ve often been incredibly morally lucky1, I’ve not had to put in much moral effort, aside from veganism I’ve not really had to sacrifice to act morally, Effective altruism seems like a very positive framework for the morally lucky to still contribute. Because of this I want to get a strong understanding of EA and surrounding concepts.

Poker

  • I’ve been enjoying poker and think it has transferable skills so I want to learn poker theory and get gud.

Content Creation

  • I want to post both blog posts and youtube videos on a regular basis.
